Surrinder Kumar brings nearly 30 years of experience in the spirits industry, with expertise spanning spirits tasting, sensory evaluation, blending, product development and flavour creation. A former Associate Vice President – Innovations & Corporate and Master Blender for Amrut Distilleries and his current role as Independent Consultant and Master Blender at Piccadily Distilleries, he has extensive experience across Whisky, Single Malt, Rum, Brandy and Hybrid Spirits. He was also recognized as Distiller of the Year in 2011. In 2025, he was Highly Commended for Master Distiller of the Year at the Icons of Whisky Awards.
His technical expertise in spirit profiling, maturation, blending and sensory assessment brings a rigorous and experienced perspective to the IGSA judging panel.
