Judging Process
All entries are 100% blind tasted and evaluated on a 100-point scale, ensuring that every spirit is judged solely on what is in the glass. Our professional tasters assess the spirit’s aroma, palate, balance, complexity, texture, finish and overall character, while considering mixability and versatility where relevant. Indian trade buyers add an important market perspective, looking at price positioning, consumer appeal, versatility and potential within India’s rapidly evolving spirits market. This combination of sensory expertise and Indian market insight allows IGSA to recognise spirits that stand out not only for their quality, but also for their potential to succeed in India.
